ROBBY HUGHES
STATS

Robby was 15 when he switched from Baseball to Track and Field and after a hurdle competition among friends it was decided that his future would be in the hurdles. Originally Robby's coach had him training for the 300h, but problems with his alternating leg made him switch to the 110h.

After a successful college career, luck had Robby training with Olympians like Dwight Phillips and Terrence Trammel. Eager to learn and ready to work hard, training with these to accomplished athletes was essential to his developement.

By 2004 Robby was on the international circuit and consistiently dropping his personal best. However, a year later his progress was halted due to a hamstring injury. Back from injury in 2006, he started off the year with a sensational run and PB at 13.26. From there the season continued on to be a huge success as he started excepting entrance into some major European meets including the Golden Gala where he placed 4th and the DN Galan where he placed 2nd.

Hughes is currently ranked in the top 10 for the 110h and looks to run more consistently this 2007 season.
