Daniel Ryland grew up
in Deville, Louisiana and headed to the University of Arkansas to compete
for the Hogs in 1998. He became
a 2-time Jr. National Decathlon Champion and in 2004 was a finalist at the
Olympic Trials. In his spare
time he coaches vault club vaulters at Bell Athletics, and likes to do home
improvements. He also produced
the movie “Pole Vaulters Dream” with friend Bubba McLean.
